I’ll never say no to a good TikTok viral recipe, and this Mapo Tofu Udon is just that. Think of it as a deconstructed twist on the classic Mapo Tofu, the iconic Sichuan dish traditionally made with silky tofu simmered in a spicy sauce featuring doubanjiang (fermented chilli bean paste) and served over rice. This viral version however switches things up; so Instead of cubed tofu simmered in the sauce, the silken tofu is blended until smooth and creamy, then tossed through chewy udon noodles. The spicy pork mince is spooned over the top, creating the perfect luxuriously creamy, flavour-packed bowl...and there isn't even any cream!

I don't know about you but these lazy hack soup dumplings have been all over my feed, and for good reason. Not only is it a one pot dish but it's the ultimate comfort dish to whip up when you’re craving soup dumplings but can't be bothered to do any folding. It's got layers of juicy pork and prawn filling, dumpling wrappers and napa cabbage that are all steamed together until rich and soupy, which taste even better when paired with a spicy chilli oil sauce.

Claypot rice, or 煲仔饭 (bo zai fan), is pure comfort in a pot. It’s warm, hearty, and incredibly easy to make, plus its super customisable! but the best part...the extra crispy rice at the bottom; it gives the dish a mixture of crunchy and fluffy rice all in one bite!

Dan dan noodles is one of my favourite dishes that comes from Sichuan; it's spicy, nutty, flavour packed noodle dish that's definitely going to have you reaching for more! And another great thing...you can have it whipped up 30 minutes, definitely one that's going to be a regular in your kitchen.

One thing I gotta have in my freezer is definitely a stash of frozen dumplings; whether that be store bought or homemade, you never know when the mood for dumplings might strike! These crispy pan-fried dumplings are served with this flavourful HK style satay sauce that's gonna have you licking your place clean, plus you can even reuse any leftover sauce for anything else!

Chicken Katsu Curry used to be my go-to favourite at any Japanese restaurant: it's comforting, cosy and feels like a hug in a bowl plus I love anything with a side of crispy golden fried chicken.
